Mahmood Fazal

Mahmood Fazal is a Charleston-based photographer, illustrator, and visual artist whose work blends documentary sensitivity with artistic storytelling. Born in Pakistan and raised in Kuwait, Fazal’s multicultural background deeply informs his perspective and creative voice.

Over the years, Fazal has built a diverse body of work spanning fine art photography, Polaroid-based mixed media collaborations, portraiture, weddings, commercial photography, and photo illustration. Known for his instinctive eye and emotionally resonant imagery, he approaches each project with a balance of authenticity, atmosphere, and visual experimentation.

A former director and instructor at the Charleston Center for Photography Fazal has also contributed to Charleston’s creative community through education, mentorship, and collaborative art projects.
